Prev Next

Overview

Field technicians can log vehicle service records directly from the Field Mobile App. This opens the Fleet Pro Service Entry form, letting technicians record service details, costs, and vehicle information while still on the job site. By capturing service entries in real time, technicians can reduce delays and improve the accuracy of their vehicle maintenance records.

Things to know

  • You must be online to use this feature, as it requires an active internet connection.

  • This feature provides access to the Service Entry workflow only. Other Fleet Pro features are not available from the Field Mobile App at this time.

  • After you submit a service entry, the form closes and you return to the Field Mobile App.

Best practices

  • Log vehicle service entries as soon as possible after completing maintenance. Entering details while they are fresh helps ensure accuracy.

  • Include all relevant service line items in a single entry rather than creating multiple entries for the same maintenance visit.

  • Add notes and attachments in the Additional Details step to provide context for office staff reviewing the records.

Use cases

  • A technician finishes an oil change on a company vehicle while on a job site and immediately logs the service entry from the Field Mobile App, including the vehicle, service type, cost, and odometer reading.

  • A technician completes a brake replacement and attaches a photo of the receipt to the service entry for record-keeping.

  • A technician performs routine maintenance on multiple vehicles at a shop and logs each service entry from the Field Mobile App between jobs.
