Things to know
To scan an item during transactions such as receiving purchase orders, completing picklists, or conducting counts, the item's barcode should be assigned to the item in Pricebook first. To do this, you can either select the item from Pricebook or scan its barcode to add it to Pricebook. Once the barcode is assigned to the item in Pricebook, it can be scanned during transactions.
Serialized scanning can also be used when using barcode scanning for POs and transfers. For more, see the Receive a serialized item in Receive purchase orders in the inventory mobile app and the Pick a serialized item section in Manage inventory mobile transfers.
