Overview
When multiple employees work the same shifts and have identical timesheet entries, you can create one timesheet entry for the entire group. This helps reduce the number of clicks and errors when creating timesheet entries.
Who uses this feature
Administrators
Primarily for Commercial Service and Replacement business types.
Add timesheet entries for a group
On the Timesheets screen, click Add Entry, then select For a group.

Select whether you want to create a new timesheet or copy from an existing timesheet. Follow the steps below to create a new timesheet. See Copy from an existing timesheet for more information on copying timesheets.
In the Enter Details screen, complete the following:
Name: Select the employees from the dropdown.
Activity: Select which activity you want to log time against. Activities are sorted by categories.
Job #: This option is selectable if you select an activity that allows a job to be associated with it. You can search for a job by job number or address.
Note: If the job number is selected in the filter, the system automatically pre-fills the Job # field when you select an activity that has a job associated with it.
Start Time: Select the start time for the activity.
End Time: Select the end time for the activity.
Note: The system automatically pre-fills the end time date to the same date as the start time date. Also, if a timesheet needs to span two days, two activities need to be logged.
Project #: This option is selectable if you select an activity that allows a project to be associated with it. You can search for a project by project number or address.
Note: If you select a job, the system automatically pre-fills the Project # field based on whether or not a job is associated with a project.
Project Label: This option is selectable if you select an activity that allows a project label to be associated with it, and the project number selected has project labels set up.
Labor Type: This option is selectable if you select an activity that allows a labor type to be associated with it.
Tag: Select a tag related to the activity.
Memo: You can write a memo if you select an activity that allows a memo to be associated with it.
When you’re finished, click Continue.

On the Review screen, review the timesheet entries pending addition. If edits are needed, click Back to go back to the previous screen. Otherwise, if all looks good, click Save.

View group timesheet
When a timesheet entry is created in bulk for a group, a group timesheet icon
shows on all affected timesheets. Hovering over the icon lists all employees who are on the group timesheet.

Timesheet entries created for a group stay synchronized unless that entry is edited on an individual’s timesheet. When timesheet entries are synchronized between multiple people, a sync icon
shows on all affected timesheets. Hovering over the icon lists all employees who have synched timesheet entries.

Copy from an existing timesheet for a group
If a group performs the same sort of work over multiple days, you can copy existing timesheet entries from prior days to their timesheets. This helps save you time and reduces the amount of data entry.
On the Timesheets screen, click Add Entry, then select For a group.

On the Add Timesheet Entry window that opens, click Copy from Existing Timesheet.

Use the Date and Name filters to locate the timesheet entry you want to copy.

Check the box next to the timesheet entry you want to copy. Then, use the Date and Name filters to choose the timesheet you want to copy the selected timesheet to.
When you’re finished, click Continue.

On the Edit Timesheet Entries screen that opens, make any necessary changes to the timesheet, if needed. Then click Continue.
On the Review screen that opens, review the timesheet details. If there are any errors, you can fix them on this screen.
When you’re finished, click Add Entry.
