Add and use campaign categories

Overview

Organize and track your marketing campaigns using campaign categories. This allows you to compare the performance of each category and identify which delivers the best return on investment (ROI) for your business.


Make sure you’re viewing the correct Marketing Pro content

This article is for Marketing Pro v2. If you are using Marketing Pro, see Add and use campaign categories for content specific to your experience.

You can check your version following these steps:

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing A speaker icon representing Marketing in ServiceTitan..

  2. If the side menu under Analytics includes One-Time Campaigns and Automated Campaigns, you're using Marketing Pro v2. If these options aren't visible, you're using Marketing Pro.

Who uses this feature

  • Marketing managers, business owners, and other marketers on your team

  • Primarily benefits Residential Service and Replacement business types and Commercial Service and Replacement business types

  • Applies to all trades

Feature configuration

  • To get started with Marketing Pro, request a demo on our Pro Products page, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Pro Account Manager (PAM).

  • Account configuration is required to use this feature. Please contact Technical Support for details.

Things to know

  • You can edit or deactivate the default campaign categories automatically included in your account.

  • You can require a campaign category to be added when a campaign is created or edited. Existing campaigns will not be affected until they are edited. To require this, go to Marketing > Campaign Manager, select the Campaign Categories tab, and turn on the Require Campaigns to have Campaign Categories toggle. Campaign Manager interface showing settings for campaign categories and active status.

Add a campaign category

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Campaign Manager and click the Campaign Categories tab.

  3. Click Add Category.

  4. In the Edit Campaign Category pop-up that opens, enter the Campaign Category Name.

  5. Click SaveEditing campaign category named 'Direct Mail' with save and cancel options visible.

Edit a campaign category

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Campaign Manager and click the Campaign Categories tab.

  3. Click More > Edit for the campaign category you want to edit. Campaign Manager interface showing categories with options to edit and create campaigns.

  4. In the Create a Campaign Category pop-up that opens, edit the Campaign Category NameCreating a campaign category named Branding/Local Store Marketing in the interface.

  5. When finished, click Save.

Archive a campaign category

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Campaign Manager and click the Campaign Categories tab.

  3. Click More > Archive for the campaign you want to archive. User interface showing campaign categories with options to edit or archive campaigns.

  4. On the Archive Campaign Category? pop-up that opens, click ArchiveConfirmation dialog asking to archive a campaign category with options to cancel or proceed.

Unarchive a campaign category

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Campaign Manager and click the Campaign Categories tab.

  3. Click More > Unarchive for the campaign you want to unarchive.        

    Tip: Filter the campaign categories to show only Archived categories.

  4. On the Unarchive Campaign Category? pop-up that opens, click UnarchiveConfirmation dialog asking to unarchive a campaign category with options to cancel or proceed.
