Things to know
You can search for projects by status on the search screen.
You can search, filter, and group projects by status in the Reporting section and in Project Portfolio.
Coming ST-80:
When a project's status changes to Completed, ServiceTitan automatically sets the project's Actual Completion Date to the date of that status change, using your account's time zone. This happens the first time the project enters the Completed status, whichever sub-status you choose.
If a project moves out of Completed and back again, the original Actual Completion Date stays as it was.
Projects that were completed before this behaviour was released keep whatever Actual Completion Date they had. If the date was blank, it stays blank until someone enters it.
If your account uses the Lock Completed Projects setting, the Actual Completion Date is written first and the lock applies afterward.
View project statuses
There are several default statuses for projects. To view project statuses:
Go to the navigation bar and click Settings
.In the side panel, go to Operations > Project Statuses.
Default project statuses include:
Bid: Used throughout the project's sales cycle.
Pending Scheduling: Used after the project's sales cycle, before jobs are booked for the project. For example, when waiting on parts or permits.
Scheduled: Used after jobs have been scheduled for the project.
Canceled: Used if the project has been canceled, or will not proceed.
In Progress: Used after at least one job is in progress.
Completed: Used when the project is complete.
Coming ST-80:
The first time a project moves into this status, ServiceTitan sets the project's Actual Completion Date to that date.
Hold: Used if the project is paused, on hold, or delayed.

You can add custom sub-statuses to each default project status to align with your project workflows. For more, see add custom project sub-statuses.

You can also create alerts which are sent to your employees automatically when a project status is changed. For more, see Use project status alerts.
