Overview
The Accounting Audit Trail feature provides a log of changes when creating, modifying, and deleting records in ServiceTitan. Viewing the audit trail on a record lets you review and verify that any changes made to that record are complete, accurate, and authorized.

Administrators, Office Employees, Managers, Accountants, and Bookkeepers
Applies to all business types
Things to know
This feature is currently in open beta and subject to change.
Current record types supported are invoices, payments, and Application for Payment. Additional record types will be supported in the future.
Access the accounting audit trail
You can access the accounting audit trail in the following areas:
Accounting section
Invoices and customer payments in Transaction Hub
Customer profile
Invoice record
From the Accounting section
To access the accounting audit trail from the Accounting section, click Accounting Audit Trail in the side menu.
From Transaction Hub
You can access the accounting audit trail through the Invoices and Customer Payments modules in Transaction Hub.
To access the accounting audit trail in Transaction Hub:
Go to the navigation bar and click Accounting.
In the side menu, click Invoices or Customer Payments.
Find the invoice or customer payment you want to view an audit trail for.
Click Actions > View Audit Trail.
From the customer profile
You can access the audit trail of customer payments from the customer profile.
Search for and go to the customer profile.
In the customer profile, go to Payments.
In the Payments section, find the payment you want to view an audit trail for.
Click Actions > View Audit Trail.
Alternatively, you can click on the payment ID and click View Audit Trail in the Edit Payment screen.
From the invoice record
You can access the audit trail of an invoice from the invoice record.
Search for and go to the invoice record.
On the invoice record, click the View Audit Trail
icon.
View the accounting audit trail
To access the audit trail, go to Accounting on the navigation bar and click Accounting Audit Trail from the side menu.
The Accounting Audit Trail screen lets you view the following information:
Date and Time: Date and time when the change to the record occurred.
Record ID: The unique record ID found in ServiceTitan. This is usually found at the end of the URL when viewing the record. Clicking on the record ID takes you directly to the invoice or payment record.
Record #: The unique record number of the transaction. This can be the invoice number, payment number, or application for payment number.
Record Type: The type of record.
User Name: The employee who modified the record.
Action: The action performed by the employee to modify the record.
Field: The field modified within the record.
Before: The initial information on the associated field within the record before being modified.
After: The updated information on the associated field after the record was modified.
Actions: Lets you view more detailed audit logs on that specific record.

Search for accounting audit trail records
Use the search bar to search for accounting audit trail records. You can search records by:
Record ID
Record #
Filter the accounting audit trail records
You can filter the accounting audit trail records using the filter dropdowns at the top of the table. You can filter the records by:
Record Type
User
Date Range
Click Reset to reset your filter selections.
Edit and rearrange table columns
Use the Edit Columns
option to show or hide columns, as well as rearrange the columns in the accounting audit trail table.

View accounting audit trail details
To get a more detailed view of changes made to a specific record:
On the Audit Trail screen, find the record you want to view.
Click View Details for that record.
On the audit trail detailed view screen that opens, review the log of changes made to that record.
(Optional) Use the filter dropdowns to filter the log of changes.

Download accounting audit trail records
Use the Download
option to download the audit trail table to an XLS or CSV file format. This gives you access to your data in a spreadsheet so you can easily analyze your information.
The resulting file includes only what is filtered in the audit trail table and the data matches the format of the columns.
