Where you see it: The signature/authorization wording on a printed or signed invoice.
Where you fix it: Settings > Operations > Business Units > Authorization Paragraph.
What you're seeing
The wording your customer signs on the invoice — the authorization paragraph — isn't what you want it to say. You need to change the text, but it isn't editable from the invoice or a print template, so it looks like there's no way to change it.
Why this happens
Reason 1
The signature wording comes from the Authorization Paragraph on each Business Unit — not from the invoice.
The authorization paragraph is set on each Business Unit, not on the invoice itself. To change what the customer signs, you edit that field on the business unit whose invoices you want to update.
How to fix it
Caution: You need access to edit Business Units in Settings. If you don't have it, contact your admin.
Note: The authorization paragraph is set per Business Unit, so a change applies only to invoices for that business unit. If you have more than one business unit, repeat the edit for each one you want updated.
1Edit the Authorization Paragraph on the Business Unit
Go to Settings > Operations > Business Units.
Find the business unit for the invoice you want to edit and click Edit.
On the Details tab, find the Authorization Paragraph field and edit the wording.
When finished, click Save.
Repeat for any other business unit whose invoices need the same change.
✓ Done · Invoices for that business unit now show the updated signature wording. You're done.
