Problem
You need to view open and unpaid invoices for a specific Business Unit. The standard reports do not provide this filtered view by default. You need to create a custom report for this, but aren't sure how.
Solution
Create a custom report
Go to Reports in the main navigation menu.
On the Reports screen that opens, click Create Report.
Follow the instructions to create a custom report based on the Invoices template.
Under Report Type, select All.
Under Report Template, select Invoices.
In the Columns to be displayed in the report section, make sure to select the Balances and Job Status columns.
Enter a name and select a category for the report. Then click Save.
On the report screen that opens, you can set Filters to narrow down your report results. If you want to filter by a specific business unit, use the Business Unit filter. See the Invoices report template article for more information.
When you're ready, click Run Report.
The report runs and returns results based on the filters you set.
To ensure the report only displays open invoices according to their balance:
Click the Filter
icon in the Balances column. Set the first filter option to Is greater than.
In the text box, enter 0.
Click Filter to filter the specific column.

The report updates to display open invoices and the balance amount.
