What you're seeing
When you try to print an invoice using the document Template Manager, the invoice won't print and you get an error message like "Error: Parse Error: <1 Hour" (the exact text after "Parse Error:" varies depending on what's in your invoice).
Why this happens
There is 1 common reason.
Reason 1
The invoice text contains a "less-than" sign (<).
Template Manager builds the printed invoice as HTML, and HTML can't read a stray "<" sign in the text, so printing fails. Template Manager doesn't remove the "<" sign for you, so it has to be taken out by hand before the invoice will print.
How to fix it
1Remove the "<" sign from the invoice text
Open the invoice you're trying to print in ServiceTitan.
Check the invoice text for any "<" signs (for example, in a description or note, such as "<1 Hour").
Remove the "<" sign from the text. If you meant to write something like "less than 1 hour," type it out in words instead of using the symbol.
Save the changes to the invoice.
Try printing the invoice again using Template Manager.
✓ Done · The invoice prints without the parse error. You're done.
