Configure continuous timekeeping settings for ServiceTitan Mobile

Overview

Configure how timesheet activities map to actions in the mobile app. With continuous timekeeping, mapped entries like Driving are automatically created when technicians perform actions like dispatch. Configure the settings for specific technicians, roles, or allow manual tracking.


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators, managers

  • Primarily for Commercial Service and Replacement business types

Feature configuration

  • Account configuration is required to use this feature. Please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) for details. 

Configure continuous timekeeping

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear.

  2. In the side panel, go to People > Payroll.

  3. On the Payroll screen that opens, under Time Settings, click Edit next to Continuous Timekeeping Settings. Settings menu displaying options for timekeeping and overtime configurations with edit buttons.

  4. Click Edit next to Continuous timekeeping options. Settings for continuous timekeeping with options to edit technician preferences and selections.         From here, choose how you want to connect technicians' actions to continuous timekeeping:        

    1. Connect all: Enables continuous timekeeping for all technicians. You can manage individual settings in each technician's payroll tab.

    2. Connect some: Enables continuous timekeeping for selected roles. Others must track time manually. Individual settings can still be adjusted in the profile settings under the payroll tab. Choose technician roles you want to connect to continuous timekeeping. Configuration options for connecting technicians to continuous timekeeping roles and settings.

    3. Do not connect: Technicians track time manually, not depending on what actions they perform in the ServiceTitan Mobile App.                

      Tip: This option is not recommended for most contractors.

  5. When finished, click Save.

Note: The Map Timesheet Activities to Mobile Actions section is only applicable to users of the Field Mobile app.
