Can’t add web scheduler code to a website

Problem

Companies can install the web scheduler on their website by adding the provided code. However, they may get error messages preventing them from successfully adding the web scheduler code. Follow the troubleshooting steps to help resolve errors when adding web scheduler code to a website.

Solution

The web scheduler widget code is URL-specific, which means the website URL should match a company's website URL. For example, if a company's website is https://plumbers.com, but they have added the URL as www.plumbers.com when setting up their widget in ServiceTitan, the URLs technically do not match and the code won't work when adding it to their website. Check if the URL that was added to the widget matches the exact URL of the company website. If it does not, create a new web scheduler widget and add the correct URL.

Check if the URL added to the widget matches the website URL

  1. Get the company website's full URL link (including the https:// prefix).

  2. In ServiceTitan, go to Settings >Integrations > Marketing Integrations.

  3. Click View in the Web Scheduler widget. marketing integrations web scheduler view

  4. Find the active scheduler widget on the Web Scheduler widgets page.

  5. Double-click the URL link in the widget, then open a new tab.

  6. Paste the link into the URL bar of the new tab. marketing integrations web scheduler test 2 link

  7. The link pasted from the widget should match the company's website URL.        

    Note: The widget will only work if you enter the URL exactly as it appears in the widget, including the capitalization of the letters.

    Tip: These are common examples of the actual website URL not matching the link entered in the widget.

    1. The widget link is missing the https:// in the URL.

    2. The widget link contains www. though the exact company URL doesn't.

  8. If the company website link already matches the link entered in the widget exactly, reach out to the Support Team for further investigation. If the actual website link does not match the link entered in the widget, follow the steps in the Make a new web scheduler widget with the correct website link section to fix the web scheduler URL.

Make a new web scheduler widget with the correct website link

  1. In ServiceTitan, go to Settings > Integrations > Marketing Integrations.

  2. Click View in the Web Scheduler widget. marketing integrationswebschedulerview

  3. Toggle the incorrect widget off.

  4. Click Add New in the upper-right corner to create a new widget. marketingintegrations enable webscheduler

  5. Set up the new widget as desired, and make sure to paste the exact company website URL into the Website Link field (including the https:// prefix).

  6. If needed, re-install the web scheduler code to the company website.
