Reduce spam messages in ServiceTitan Bookings

Prev Next

Problem

Spam messages appear repeatedly in the Bookings tab. These messages come through web forms and increase in frequency over time.

Solution

  1. Add CAPTCHA to your web forms:

    1. Contact your web developer or IT team.

    2. Request CAPTCHA implementation on all customer contact forms. This prevents automated spam submissions.

  2. Set up form validation rules:

    1. Work with your web team to add filtering criteria.

    2. Block submissions with specific keywords or suspicious email domains.

    3. Filter out entries that don't meet your business criteria.

  3. Implement email filtering:

    1. Check if web form submissions go to email first.

    2. Set up email filters to block known spam sources.

    3. Redirect suspicious messages before they reach ServiceTitan.

  4. Continue regular cleanup:

    1. Review your bookings tab daily.

    2. Classify spam messages consistently. This helps ServiceTitan improve its spam detection over time.
