Things to know
Attach a service agreement visit only if it is for the same customer location.
To attach the visit to a job, the job's invoice should not be posted or exported.
Currently, you can only attach one visit per job.
Coming ST-80:
You can attach a visit from the job record, or from any service agreement visits list—the Service Agreement Visits screen under Follow Up, the Service Agreement Dashboard, or the Visits tab of an activated service agreement.
A job can either fulfill a service agreement visit or be marked as Pull-Through Work, not both. If a job is already linked to a service agreement as pull-through work, it does not appear in the Select Existing Job dialog. For more, see Link service agreements to jobs and estimates as pull-through work.
The Select Existing Job dialog lists only jobs that meet all of the following: the job's service location matches the visit's location, the job's invoice is in Pending status, the job is not already marked as Pull-Through Work, and the job does not already have a visit attached.
Attach a visit from the job record
To attach a service agreement visit to an existing job:
Using search, find the job you want to attach the visit to.
From the job record, scroll down to the Service Agreement Visit section.
Note: The box shows the total number of available service agreement visits that are unscheduled.

Click Attach Visit.
Select the unscheduled service agreement visit that you want to attach to the job.

Note: Some visits may include warnings that appear when the job details do not match the visit details, such as when the job type is different from the job type on the visit. These warnings do not prevent you from selecting a visit, but they help you choose the right visit to attach to the job.
Click Attach to Job.
This attaches the unscheduled service agreement visit to the job.

Coming ST-80: Attach a job from the visit
You can also start from the visit instead of the job. This is useful when the work has already been completed on a job and you need to credit it to the agreement, rather than booking a duplicate job or dismissing the visit.
This option is available on:
The Service Agreement Visits screen under Follow Ups.
The Dashboard tab of an activated service agreement, in the Remaining Visits list.
The Visits tab of an activated service agreement.
To attach a visit to an existing job from any of these lists:
Locate the unbooked visit you want to attach.
Click Actions > Attach to Existing Job. The Select Existing Job dialog opens.
Review the eligible jobs. The dialog shows:
Job #: Click to open the job in a new tab.
Job Type
Business Unit
First Appt
Status: The dialog shows jobs in Scheduled, Completed, In Progress, Dispatched, and Hold status. Canceled jobs are not filtered out by default.
Summary: Hover over or click the tooltip in the column header to see which summary is shown: completed jobs display an invoice summary, and all other jobs display a job summary.
Tip: Every column can be sorted and filtered, which helps when a location has a long job history.
Select the job you want to attach the visit to, then click Attach to Job.
A confirmation message appears with a link to the job, which opens in a new tab. The visit is removed from the visits list, because it is no longer unbooked.
What happens when you attach a job to a visit
When a visit is attached to an existing job:
The visit is marked Scheduled or Completed, depending on the status of the job it was attached to.
The visit's Invoice template items are added to the job's invoice.
If the agreement uses Deferred revenue, the deferred revenue tasks are added to the job's invoice.
No other job details change. Attaching a visit does not overwrite the job's job type, business unit, Appointment, or any other field.
