See and manage job findings without leaving the Job screen

What's changing

Before this enhancement, findings tied to a job only showed up in the Location Equipment screen. You had to leave the Job screen and search for the finding on the equipment record to see what a technician found. Now, a Findings section appears directly on the Job screen, so you can see every finding tied to that job without navigating away.

Workflow comparison — before & after

✓ After
1.Open the job.
1.Open the job.
2.Leave the Job screen and go to the Location Equipment screen.
2.Scroll to the Findings section on the Job screen.
3.Search for the piece of equipment tied to the finding.
3.View the finding's status, urgency level, and details in a side drawer.
4.Open the equipment record to find the finding.
4.Add a new finding directly from the Job screen if needed.
5.Review the finding details.
5.Edit an existing finding without leaving the job.
⚠ Office staff and dispatchers lose time switching screens and searching for equipment just to see what a technician found on a job.
✓ Office staff and dispatchers see findings in the same place they manage the rest of the job, cutting down on screen switching and missed information.

How it works for your industry

Commercial Service and Replacement
  • A dispatcher reviewing a large commercial account's job can see every finding a technician logged during the visit right on the Job screen, without cross-referencing the equipment list.
  • A service manager checking job status before invoicing can confirm whether an open finding needs follow-up before closing out the job.
  • An account manager preparing a customer update can pull finding details straight from the job instead of searching Location Equipment.
Commercial Construction
  • A project manager reviewing a multi-day commercial construction job can see findings logged across the life of the project directly on the Job screen, instead of tracking them down in Location Equipment.
  • A dispatcher booking a follow-up visit for a flagged issue can do it straight from the finding without leaving the job.
  • An office coordinator preparing a project status update can reference open findings tied to the job in one place.

How to prepare

01Have an administrator confirm the existing Findings configuration is enabled. If it is not enabled, have the administrator contact Technical Support or your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
02Confirm which jobs on your account already have findings tied to them so your team knows what to expect on the Job screen.
03Train dispatchers and office staff on the new Findings section location so they stop navigating to Location Equipment out of habit.
04Align with your service managers on how open findings should be reviewed before job closeout.
05Bookmark any knowledge base articles or Academy videos for team training.
