What's changing

Previously, finding sold estimates that still needed procurement meant searching across jobs and projects, and the requisition workflow relied on an older, harder-to-navigate design. Now, a Sold Estimates tab is the first stop on the requisitions landing page, so you can see what needs action without hunting for it. The requisition workflow itself has a modernized design that makes adding and removing items, and moving through a requisition, more straightforward. Before you confirm, a review screen shows exactly which purchase orders and transfers will be created. And throughout the requisitions landing page, job and project details now stay visible across every requisition status, so you don't need to click into each record to find them.

Workflow comparison — before & after

← Before
✓ After
1.Hunt across jobs and projects to figure out which sold estimates still need a purchase order (PO) or transfer.
1.Open the Sold Estimates tab to see every sold estimate still needing procurement action.
2.Open a sold estimate and start a requisition using a dated interface.
2.Start a requisition directly from estimate context.
3.Configure one procurement outcome at a time.
3.Configure multiple outcomes in one requisition (several vendor POs plus a transfer to job).
4.Click save without a clear preview of what records will be created.
4.Review a pre-confirmation screen showing exactly what will be created before you confirm.
5.Check requisition status later without a consolidated view of the resulting transactions.
5.Track everything from a cleaner in-progress view, with job and project details visible throughout.
⚠ Procurement action gets delayed, and it's hard to know what happened after clicking save.
✓ Procurement action starts faster, and you know what a requisition created before and after you confirm it.

How it works for your industry

Commercial Construction
  • A purchasing manager reviews Sold Estimates each morning instead of checking multiple jobs to find what needs a purchase order (PO).
  • A large multi-vendor buyout is split into several vendor POs plus a transfer to job in one requisition, instead of several separate requisitions.
  • Before confirming a bulk buyout, the team reviews the pre-confirmation screen to catch a wrong vendor assignment before it becomes a PO.
Residential Construction
  • An administrator sets up a requisition directly from a sold residential project estimate instead of re-entering items from scratch.
  • A single requisition sources some items from the warehouse and orders the remainder from a vendor, in one pass.
  • After confirming, the team can trace each line item to its resulting purchase order (PO) or transfer without leaving the requisition view.

How to prepare

01Confirm your account has the Purchasing and Inventory modules enabled, since Requisitions 2.0 is available automatically on top of these.
02Identify purchasing managers and administrators who will use the new Sold Estimates queue as their daily operating view.
03Align your team on the new pre-confirmation review step so no one is surprised by what a requisition creates.
04Bookmark any knowledge base articles or Academy videos for team training once published.
