Work more efficiently in ServiceTitan with the standard Left Navigation
Left Navigation becomes the standard ServiceTitan layout, an improvement that helps you move through the product faster and see where you are at a glance.
What's changing
Today, companies on the toggle version can switch between Left Navigation and the older top navigation using the Try New Layout switch in the header. With this improvement, Left Navigation becomes the standard layout, and on the newest version the Try New Layout switch is removed so Left Navigation is the only option. The layout also gains several refinements: the menu opens fully expanded with each area's icon and name, focuses on the area you are working in, separates section names from sub-items so a click does what you expect, and presents a cleaner pop-out menu when collapsed.
Workflow comparison — before & after
How it works for your industry
Residential Service and Replacement
- A customer service representative (CSR) books a job and moves between the Calls and dispatch areas from a menu that shows each area's name, not just an icon.
- A dispatcher keeps the sub-items for their working area expanded while other areas stay tidy, so the schedule stays in view.
- An accountant collapses the menu to icons while reconciling a wide report, then expands it again when they're done.
Commercial Service and Replacement
- A CSR handling high call volume reaches job history in fewer steps because the menu opens fully expanded.
- A dispatcher reaches the area they need in one click because every area shows its name, not just an icon.
- An accountant working in a wide ledger view collapses the menu to reclaim screen width.
Residential Construction
- A project manager moves between material orders and project records using a menu that focuses on the current area.
- A CSR updates project timelines and finds the same menu layout as everyone else on the team.
- A dispatcher scanning project dashboards reads the collapsed pop-out menu, which is now clearer to select and
Commercial Construction
- A CSR reviews permit information from a menu that shows names alongside icons, reducing guesswork.
- A dispatcher on high-volume projects moves between areas with the current area's items expanded and others collapsed.
- An accountant tracking change orders moves between Accounting and Reports without the pop-out menu covering what they're working on.
Roofing and Exteriors
- A CSR books inspections and reaches the Calls area without the menu covering the call-booking button.
- A project coordinator scans a clearer collapsed pop-out menu when routing crews.
- A dispatcher routing crews reads a cleaner collapsed pop-out menu when they keep the menu narrow.
