Report on insurance claim details in the Job and Estimate datasets in Report Builder

Prev Next

This improvement adds a dedicated Insurance Claim Information section with a number of fields to the Job and Estimate reporting datasets in Report Builder, so admins can track claim details, adjuster contacts, deductibles, and more without leaving ServiceTitan.

Selecting report templates and columns for insurance claim information in a software interface.

What's changing?

Insurance claim data, such as claim numbers, adjuster contact details, carrier names, and deductible amounts, is stored on jobs and estimates in ServiceTitan today, but none of it is available in Report Builder datasets. Admins at insurance-focused companies must track this information manually in spreadsheets or cross-reference multiple systems outside ServiceTitan to compile reports. With this improvement, a dedicated Insurance Claim Information section is now available in both the Job and Estimate reporting datasets. You can select individual claim fields as report columns and run reports that include historical insurance claim data across all jobs and estimates.

Before and After

Before (current)

  1. Open Reports > Create Custom Report and select the Jobs or Estimates template.

  2. Search the available fields for insurance claim data — such as claim number, adjuster name, or deductible.

  3. Notice that no insurance claim fields appear in either template.

  4. Exit ServiceTitan and track insurance claim details manually in a spreadsheet or another system outside ServiceTitan.

  5. Cross-reference the external records with ServiceTitan job data to compile the report.

Impact: Teams spend extra time maintaining records outside ServiceTitan and risk errors from manual data entry and cross-referencing.

Try the current workflow in your account.

After

  1. Open Reports > Create Custom Report and select the Jobs or Estimates template.

  2. Expand the Insurance Claim Information section in the column panel.

  3. Select any combination of the following fields as columns: Claim #, Type of Loss, Insurance Carrier, Deductible, Date of Loss, Date of Expiration, Adjuster's Name, Adjuster's Phone Number, and Adjuster's Email.

  4. Run the report to view current and historical insurance claim data in a single view.

Impact: Admins and managers can build insurance workflow reports directly in ServiceTitan, eliminating manual tracking and improving claim data accuracy.

How it works for your industry

Roofing and Exteriors

  • A roofing company's admin runs a monthly insurance job report to track open claims across the full portfolio. They open Report Builder, select the Job dataset, and add Claim #, Insurance Carrier, Deductible, and Date of Expiration as columns. The report pulls current and historical jobs in a single view — no spreadsheet needed.

  • An office manager preparing for an adjuster follow-up week builds a Job report that includes Adjuster's Name, Adjuster's Phone Number, and Adjuster's Email for all active insurance jobs. The team works directly from the report instead of hunting through individual job records.

  • A business analyst at an exteriors company builds an Estimate report that includes Type of Loss and Date of Loss to track which storm damage claim types convert to booked jobs most often — helping the company fine-tune its insurance sales workflow.

How to Prepare?

  1. Have an administrator reach out to Support or your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to have Insurance Claim Information and any prerequisite configurations enabled.

  2. Identify the admins and managers at your company who work with insurance jobs and will use this reporting improvement.

  3. Confirm which fields — such as Claim #, Insurance Carrier, Adjuster's Name, and Deductible — are most relevant to your team's insurance reporting workflow.

  4. Train staff on how to add the Insurance Claim Information section to a Job or Estimate report in Report Builder.
