Get instant confirmation when estimates are created from spec-based estimate templates

What's changing?

Before this improvement, office staff had no in-app confirmation that an SBET form submission was processed. After submitting the form, estimates did not automatically appear in the Estimates section on the Job or Project screen. Staff had to manually reload the browser to verify that the estimates were created. Now, after submitting an SBET form, a toast notification appears on the Job or Project screen confirming that estimates were successfully generated. The notification includes a View Opportunity button for navigating directly to the opportunity. If generation fails, an error notification appears and prompts staff to retry or contact support.

Before (Current)

  1. Go to a Job or Project screen with spec-based estimate templates (SBET) enabled.

  2. Fill out and submit the SBET form.

  3. Wait for estimates to generate.

  4. Manually refresh the browser to check whether estimates appear in the Estimates section.

  5. If no estimates are visible, investigate whether the form submission was processed successfully.

Impact: Office staff spend time manually refreshing the browser after each SBET submission. There is no in-app feedback to confirm whether the submission succeeded or failed.

After

  1. Go to a Job or Project screen with spec-based estimate templates (SBET) enabled.

  2. Fill out and submit the SBET form.

  3. A toast notification appears on the screen confirming that estimates were successfully generated.

  4. Select View Opportunity in the notification to navigate directly to the opportunity and review the estimates.

  5. If generation fails, an error notification appears prompting you to retry or contact support.

Impact: Office staff receive immediate confirmation when estimates are generated. No browser refresh is required.

How it works for your industry

Roofing and Exteriors

  • A sales associate submits a spec-based estimate template (SBET) form after completing a roof inspection. A toast notification appears on the Job screen confirming that estimates are ready. The associate selects View Opportunity to review pricing before presenting it to the homeowner — without leaving the screen or refreshing the browser.

  • A sales coordinator processes several SBET submissions from the office. After each submission, the confirmation notification lets the coordinator move on to the next job immediately, without checking the Estimates section manually.

  • An office staff member encounters a failed estimate generation. The error notification appears right away and prompts the staff member to retry the submission or contact support, so the issue is caught before the job moves forward.

How to Prepare?

  1. Have an administrator reach out to Support or your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to confirm that Spec-Based Estimate Templates and any prerequisite configurations are enabled on your account.

  2. Identify office staff who regularly submit SBET forms and brief them on the new success and error notifications.

  3. Train staff to use the View Opportunity button in the toast notification to navigate directly to the opportunity after a form is submitted.

  4. Remind staff that the error notification is the signal to retry a failed submission — no browser refresh is needed to identify the problem.
