This is a new feature that lets technicians capture, upload, view, and manage photos, videos, and documents directly on equipment records in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.
What's new?
Previously, technicians had no way to attach media or documents to an equipment record from the field. To document a unit's condition or save a manual, technicians had to rely on their phone's camera roll, a notes app, or other tools outside of ServiceTitan—leaving office teams without visibility into that information. Now, technicians can capture photos and videos, upload files, and view all equipment-related media directly from an equipment record in the Field Mobile App. Everything syncs automatically, so both field and office teams have access to the same up-to-date equipment documentation.
Resources
Before and After
Before (Current)
A technician arrives on a job and inspects the customer's HVAC unit.
The technician takes photos of the unit using their phone's default camera app.
Photos are saved to the device's camera roll with no connection to the equipment record.
The technician writes notes about the unit's brand and capacity in a separate app.
Office staff have no way to view the photos or notes, and the technician may not be able to find them on a return visit.
Impact: Equipment documentation is fragmented, hard to find, and inaccessible to office teams.
After
A technician arrives on a job and opens the equipment record in the Field Mobile App.
The technician taps to capture a photo or video of the unit directly within the app.
The media is automatically attached to the equipment record and synced to the office.
The technician also sets a profile picture for the equipment, so it's easier to identify in the future.
The technician updates the equipment's brand and capacity fields from the same screen.
On a return visit, the technician opens the record and immediately sees all previously captured media and documents.
Impact: Equipment information is captured once, stored in ServiceTitan, and accessible to both field and office teams.

How it works for your industry
Commercial Service and Replacement
A technician at a retail site takes photos of a failing rooftop unit, attaches them to the equipment record, and adds notes so a sales rep can build a clear replacement proposal.
A maintenance tech records readings and filter conditions on each visit as attachments so managers can track equipment decline over time and time replacements correctly.
A dispatcher helps a technician on an emergency call by opening the equipment record in ServiceTitan, reviewing past attachments, and sharing key details over the phone.
Commercial Construction
A technician on a new build records install photos, startup readings, and panel labels on each piece of equipment so future crews can see what was done without digging through old files.
A foreman reviews equipment attachments from the trailer to confirm work is complete before approving a draw or moving to the next phase.
A service team returning to a completed project pulls up the equipment record in the Field Mobile App to see original install photos and data before starting warranty work.
How to Prepare?
Have an administrator reach out to Support to have the Equipment Page Redesign configuration enabled.
Confirm that technicians are on Field Mobile App version 17.0 on iOS and Android.
Identify common visit types where equipment photos and documents are required, such as maintenance, quoted repairs, warranty work, and replacement jobs.
Train technicians on how to open the equipment record in the Field Mobile App, add attachments, rename files, and add clear notes.
Align administrators and managers on how they will review equipment attachments and end-of-life signals during follow-up, sales reviews, and maintenance planning.
