This is a new feature that gives field sales representatives the ability to create contracts and track signature statuses from the Field Mobile App.
What's new?
Previously, field sales representatives created proposals via proposal builder in the Field Mobile. They could only have one proposal in a job. Now, the proposal is rebranded into a contract and there can be multiple contracts on a job. Similar to proposal builder, sales reps can still track signature statuses in contract.
Resources
Before and After
Before (Current)
A sales rep finishes building an estimate on a job.
The rep goes into the proposal tab to create a proposal
The rep collects signatures from homeowners using the proposal builder web view.
Impact: The proposal workflow is limited to one proposal per job, and signature tracking requires manual follow-up outside the app.
After
A sales rep finishes building an estimate on a job.
The rep taps Create Contract directly from the estimates view.
The rep selects the estimate(s) to include and completes the contract builder.
The rep collects the customer's signature.
Impact: Sales reps complete the full contract workflow from their mobile device without involving the office. Signature status is visible in real time, so reps can countersign and close deals faster.

How it works for your industry
Residential Service and Replacement
A sales rep finishes presenting a good-better-best estimate to a homeowner. The homeowner is ready to sign. The rep taps Create Contract from the estimate presentation view, selects the estimate to include, and collects an in-person signature without leaving the Field Mobile App.
After a customer signs a contract, the rep sees status indicating the contract is ready for countersignature. The rep taps Sign Now to countersign directly in the app, completing the deal on the spot.
Residential Construction
A sales rep on a residential construction job presents a contract to a homeowner. The homeowner prefers to sign digitally. The rep emails the contract from the contract web view and monitors the status from the job view.
A rep saves a partially completed contract as a draft to finish later. The draft appears in the contracts list so the rep can return to it before the next customer visit.
How to Prepare?
Have an administrator reach out to Support or their Customer Success Manager (CSM) to have the Contracts feature enabled. The Contracts feature requires the Proposal Builder configuration. Confirm technician permissions are set correctly.
Administrators should review which field roles need access to contracts and ensure the View/Edit Proposals permission is enabled for those employees in ServiceTitan.
Train field sales reps on the new contracts workflow. Walk reps through creating a contract from an estimate, collecting a signature in person, sending for e-sign, and reading signature statuses in the Field Mobile App.
Identify jobs with existing proposals. Note that all references to Proposals in the Field Mobile App now appear as Contracts. Align your team on the updated terminology before the release goes live.
