This is a new feature that helps technicians and field leaders locate and open project records in the Field Mobile App.
What's changing with Project Search?
Before, technicians had no direct way to search for projects in the Field Mobile App. Now, you can tap Projects In the main navigation to view your five most recently opened projects or search by project name, project location name, project location address, customer name, or project status. If you're offline, cached near-term projects are available. This helps you start work faster, like adding timesheets or viewing project details.

Open a job and tap the Project link at the top.
Or, open a job and tap Location Info (if you're using Residential terms) or Jobsite Details (if you're using Commercial terms) > Projects to see all projects for the service location.
Open a project and tap a job to see its details.
Use indirect context, such as job name or address, to confirm the right project.
Add timesheets or notes from the job.
Impact: Technicians spend time jumping between jobs and project links to find the right project.
After
Open the Field Mobile App and tap Projects In the main navigation.
View up to five recently opened projects right away.
Search for more projects by project name, project location name, project location address, customer name, or project status.
Tap a project to view details.
Add timesheets or take action from the project.
Impact: Technicians can search for and open the right project directly from the main navigation.
Test changes in the Field Mobile App: Tap Menu > Switch Environment or tap Switch to a different environment on the sign in screen if you're not signed in.

How it works for your industry
Residential Construction
A technician starts a shift and taps Projects to open a custom home project they accessed yesterday. They add a timesheet for the day.
During a service visit, a foreman searches for a kitchen remodel project by customer name to update progress photos.
A field lead checks the crew's assigned project list offline when there's no cell service.
Commercial Construction
A technician opens a school remodel project from their recent list and enters a daily log on a completed inspection.
A foreman searches by location name to locate a large HVAC install project and review schedules.
A field manager working offline accesses cached data for the day's project, including job location and assigned tasks.
How to Prepare
Confirm your team's mobile devices are on Field Mobile App version 15.0.0 or later.
Identify foremen and install leads who will benefit from this feature.
Have an administrator grant the Enable Projects Search permission to applicable technician roles. This new permission is off by default.
Train technicians on how to search for projects.
Align internal workflows so field staff can act on projects directly from the Field Mobile App.
