What's changing?
Previously, Daily Log PDFs used a single fixed format that included all sections every time, with no way to hide sections or produce a different version for different recipients. Now you can create Daily Log print templates that include only the sections you choose. When you click Download PDF on a Daily Log and multiple templates exist, a Choose PDF Template window appears so you can select the right format before generating. If only one template exists, the PDF downloads immediately without a prompt.
Resources
Before and After
Before (Current)
Open the project in ServiceTitan.
In the side panel, click Daily Logs and select the log you want.
Go to the Generated Log tab and click Download PDF.
The PDF generates in the fixed format, which includes all sections every time.
Impact: You cannot remove or hide sections from the PDF. Sharing the log with external parties means they see all data, including timesheet details you may prefer to keep internal.
Try the current workflow in your account.
After
Open the project in ServiceTitan.
In the side panel, click Daily Logs and select the log you want.
Go to the Generated Log tab and click Download PDF.
If more than one Daily Log template exists, select the format you want from the Choose PDF Template window.
The PDF generates using the template you selected.
Impact: You can tailor each PDF to its audience by selecting a template that includes only the relevant sections. If only one template exists, the PDF downloads immediately without a prompt.

How it works for your industry
Residential Construction
A project manager creates two Daily Log templates: one with timesheet data for internal use and one without it for sharing with the homeowner. When downloading a PDF, they select the appropriate template from the window.
A foreman finishes a daily log and the project manager downloads the homeowner-facing PDF using a template that excludes equipment detail and timesheet entries, keeping the document clean and easy to review.
A company manages multiple homes simultaneously and creates a simplified template with only notes and project health for weekly owner updates, and a full template for internal records.
Commercial Construction
A general contractor (GC) requires daily logs without labor hour data. The project manager downloads the GC-facing template, which excludes the timesheet section, so the GC receives only the field activity summary.
A subcontractor team uses a stripped-down template that includes only Materials, Safety, and Notes sections when reporting to the GC, keeping proprietary scheduling data out of external PDFs.
The construction office creates separate templates for project managers, the owner, and the GC, each showing only the sections relevant to that audience without any manual editing of the document.
