Add financing prequal links in customer notifications and Marketing Pro email campaigns to boost close rates

This is a new feature that lets you insert financing prequalification links in customer messages and marketing emails.

Before, there was no way to offer financing prequalification before a technician visit or during marketing campaigns. Now, you can add links from GreenSky, GoodLeap, or Synchrony to customer notifications and Marketing Pro email templates. This helps introduce financing options earlier, allowing homeowners to explore their potential buying power. A new tab in Financing Settings lets you manage the prequal rules.

Before and After

Customer Notifications - Before (Current)

  1. Go to Settings > Communications > Customer Notifications.

  2. Choose a message template, such as Technician Dispatched.

  3. Edit the message, but no option to include financing prequal links.

  4. Save and send as usual.

Impact: Customers don't see financing options in early communications, which may limit their decision-making window.

Try the current workflow in your account.

After

  1. Go to Settings > Financing > Prequal tab to set prequal rules.

  2. Go to Settings > Communications > Customer Notifications.

  3. Choose a notification template to edit.

  4. Drag a prequal link from GreenSky, GoodLeap, or Synchrony into the message.

  5. Exclude business units (BUs) or job types from showing the prequal link.

  6. Save and send as usual.

Impact: Customers can explore financing before the technician arrives, improving conversion chances.

Test the changes in the NEXT environment.

Marketing Pro - Before (Current)

  1. Open Marketing Pro and start or edit an email campaign.

  2. Create or update the email template.

  3. No option to add a financing prequal link.

  4. Launch the campaign without offering prequal.

Impact: Homeowners receive promotional content without an option to explore financing, lowering engagement and close rates.

Try the current workflow in your account.

After

  1. Go to Settings > Financing > Prequal tab to set prequal rules.

  2. In Marketing Pro, edit your email campaign.

  3. Add a {{prequalification_link}} in the Link section of a marketing email.

  4. Launch the campaign.

Impact: Homeowners can apply for financing directly from the campaign, leading to higher conversion and follow-through.

Residential Service and Replacement

  • A technician is dispatched to a job. The homeowner receives a message with a prequal link and applies before the technician arrives.

  • A homeowner clicks a prequal link in a Marketing Pro campaign for an unsold estimate and applies for financing.

  • A manager uses Financing Settings to set rules for when and how prequal links are included in campaigns.

  • A Technician can see a tag on the customer profile in ServiceTitan Mobile if they were prequalified and the amount.

  • The office can see the prequalified apps in application management

How to Prepare

  1. Confirm which financing provider you currently use. Only GreenSky, GoodLeap, or Synchrony financing providers are eligible for this feature. 

  2. Identify customer notifications that should include prequal links.

  3. If your team uses Marketing Pro, confirm which Marketing Pro campaigns should include prequal links.

  4. Align office employees and technicians on how prequal info may affect conversations with homeowners.

  5. Train staff on where to find prequal links and how to talk about them.

  6. Check that users who manage notifications and campaigns have the correct permissions.
