Create and view returns in ServiceTitan MobileLast updated on 09/13/2022

Technicians can create returns for purchase orders in ServiceTitan Mobile. This allows them to return items to vendors when the office is closed or busy.


Things to know

  • Additional permissions are required for a technician to create and view returns.

  • After a technician creates a return, only the technician's office can make changes to the return.

  • Technicians who can view purchase orders in ServiceTitan Mobile can also view returns that are associated with those purchase orders.


Create a return

  1. From the Dashboard, tap the All Jobs tab.

  2. Select the job that includes the purchase order for the item that you want to return.

  3. Tap View Job.

  4. In the job record that opens, you can create a return for a PO from a job or from an invoice attached to a job:

    • For a job, tap Purchase Orders on the Job page then, on the Purchase Orders page that opens, tap the More image2 icon and tap Create Return.

    • For an invoice, tap Invoice from the side menu, then tap Purchase Orders. On the Purchase Orders page that opens, tap the More image2 icon and tap Create Return.

  5. In the Create Return page that opens, find the Equipment and Materials list and enter the Quantity to Return for each item that you want to return. Enter ‘0’ for each item that you don’t want to return.

  6. Tap Create.

  7. On the verification pop-up message, tap Create to confirm that you want to create the return.

On the Purchase Orders page, you can see a return that is created for the purchase order and the total cost of items to be returned.


View a return

  1. Select the job that includes the purchase order and returned item that you want to view.

  2. The View Job. The job record opens.

  3. You can view a return from a job or from an invoice attached to a job:

    • For a job, tap Purchase Orders on the Job page then, on the Purchase Orders page that opens, tap the More image2 icon and tap View.

    • For an invoice, tap Invoice from the side menu then, tap Purchase Orders. On the Purchase Orders page that opens, tap the More image2 icon and tap View.

      On the Purchase Order Details page that opens, you can see a summary of the return, including the return number, date, and total dollar amount.
