Why was the recurring service event task added with the wrong price on the customer membership?

A task in a recurring service event was added with the wrong price. The expected price was $195, but it charged $130 instead.

Solution

To find out why the price of the recurring service (RSE) event task is incorrect you need to check the following:

Check the audit trail of the recurring service event job

  1. Go to the job where the recurring service event was booked.

  2. Check the jobs' audit trail and look for changes made to the task price.

Confirm the original price of the task is $195

  1. Go to Pricebook.

  2. Search the service task and click Edit.

  3. Look at the price setup of the task.

Check the invoice template

  1. Go to Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. > Invoicing > Invoice Templates.

  2. Edit the invoice template associated with the RSE task.

  3. Ensure the price of the task is set correctly to $195. This confirms that the template itself is not the issue.

Correct the price

If the task was manually edited to the wrong price, adjust it back to the correct amount of $195 as per the membership agreement.
