Why is the recurring service invoice template not showing in the invoice template settings?

Problem

The invoice template does not show up in the invoice template settings. That is because it was created in the Membership type setting, not in the main invoice template settings.

Solution

If you choose to create an invoice template from scratch in the Add recurring Service step in the membership type settings, it won't appear in the invoice template settings for later use.

Check if the invoice template is currently active

  1. Go to Settings > Invoicing > Invoice Templates.

  2. Check if the invoice template in question is currently active.        

    1. If not, click on Filter.

    2. Set the filter to show Inactive templates.

    3. Click Filter to apply the setting.

If your template is still not found, it means it was created within a membership type itself.

To create a new template that shows up in Invoice template settings

  1. Go to Settings > Invoicing > Invoice Templates.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Fill in the template details as required.

  4. Save your new template.

To customize a template for a specific membership

  1. Go to Settings > Invoicing > Membership Type.

  2. Select the membership type you want to edit.

  3. Click on Recurring services.

  4. Edit or add the invoice template directly within this section.

  5. Save your changes.

Note: Remember, changes made to templates within a membership's recurring service do not affect the main invoice templates.
