Why are the recurring service tags not transferring to the customer profile after renewing the membership?

Problem

When renewing a membership, tags associated with the membership type do not transfer to the customer profile of the membership.

Solution

If you want the tags to be included in the renewed membership, you'll need to sell it as a new membership instead of renewing the existing one.

Confirm when the membership was sold

  1. Check the date when the customer's membership was created. Go to the customer membership and click Audit Trail.

  2. Make sure the tags are added to the recurring services after the customer's membership activation date.

Note: Changes made to the membership type or recurring services settings after the membership is sold won't apply retroactively.

Sell a new membership

  1. Go to the customer's profile.

  2. Click on Sell Membership, so you create a new membership instead of renewing the current one.

  3. Make sure to add all the desired tags to the recurring services of the new membership type before completing the sale.

  4. Finalize the sale of the new membership. This ensures that all tags are correctly transferred to the recurring services associated with the membership.
