Problem
You cannot view payroll approval. You might see a message saying "please wait a while for data to generate," but then nothing happens.
Solution
Verify employee permissions
Go to the employee's profile under Settings
> People > Employees, click on the Permissions tab, and check that the employee has the View payroll approval dashboard permission to be able to view the payroll dashboard.Once you have confirmed that the permission is granted, go to the payroll dashboard.
If you see the message Please wait a while for data to generate, click on Reports in the main navigation menu.
On the Reports screen, search for and open the Master Pay File report.
On the Master Pay File report screen that opens, click Refresh Payroll Data.
Return to the payroll dashboard.
If the screen still says, please wait a while for data to generate, refresh your window.
After refreshing if the screen still says Please wait a while for data to generate, contact technical support.
Check Individual Permissions
Go to Settings
in the main navigation menu.In the side panel, click on People > Employees.
Find your name and select Edit, then click the Permissions tab.
Check if your permissions under Timesheets or Payroll are correct. Make sure they are updated to allow you to view payroll.
Clear Browser Cache
If permissions are correct but the issue persists, clear your browser cache.
Open Google Chrome.
Click on the three dots in the top right corner.
Go to Settings.
Select Privacy and Security.
Click on Clear browsing data.
Choose Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
Click Clear data.
After following these steps, try accessing the payroll approval again in ServiceTitan.
