Problem
Membership opportunities are not showing accurately on the dashboard and reports. Only jobs where a membership was sold are counted as opportunities. This happens when the Potential Member tag is renamed or deleted.
Solution
To fix this issue, you need to make sure the Potential Member tag exists. Go to Settings
> Operations > Tags, and check if the Potential Member tag exists. If the tag is missing, that means the tag was renamed or deleted, and you need to re-add it.
If the tag was deleted
Create a new tag named Potential Member. Make sure the name is exact. Do not add extra spaces or change the wording.
Save the new tag. This tag will now automatically apply to all jobs for customers who currently do not have a membership.
After the correct tag is in place, ServiceTitan will start recognizing membership opportunities correctly. Jobs for customers without a current membership will get the Potential Member tag. Completed jobs where a membership is sold or renewed will also count as opportunities.
Note: The tag will only apply to jobs booked after the tag is recreated. It won't change the status of past jobs. To add the tag to past jobs, please contact Technical Support.
If the tag was renamed
If you had a different tag for membership opportunities, like Member Opp, rename it to Potential Member. This retroactively updates the tag on previous jobs and applies to future jobs.
