Introduction

This guide helps you understand how warranty jobs affect your revenue. You will learn to check this through a specific report in ServiceTitan. You can use the built-in Field Quality Report or if you have access to custom reports, the Job Costing Summary Report to find this information.

Problem

You want to know if warranty or recall jobs by a technician show up in revenue, sales, or hours.

Solution

Use a built-in report

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Reports
  2. Search for and open the Field Quality Report
  3. Run the report for your selected date range, business units (BU), and job type.
  4. Use the Warranty Jobs column to see the number of warranty jobs each technician has performed according to the filters you set.
  5. Click on the number in the Warranty Jobs column to drilldown into the warranty information and see details such as Completion Date, Job #, Invoice #, Job BU, Job Type, Warranty For, Split, and Subtotal

Create a custom report

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Reports
  2. Search for and open the Job Costing Summary Report
  3. Click Edit Columns to customize the report.
  4. Look for Warranty and Warranty For in the list of options.
  5. Select the correct time period for the report.
  6. Run the report to view the impact of warranty jobs on revenue.

The information in these reports will show you how warranty and recall jobs are reflected in your revenue, sales, and hours.
