Overview
Smart Start simplifies the onboarding process for Pricebook Pro users. In a few minutes, you can access a personalized pricebook containing hundreds of items tailored to your shop.

To get started with Pricebook Pro, request a demo on our Pro Products page, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Pro Account Manager (PAM).
Things to know
Smart Start is only for brand-new Pricebook Pro users.
Once you start Smart Start and close it before completing, you cannot reopen it later.
After completing Smart Start process, you can edit or add dynamic rules in the Pricebook anytime to apply billable rates to categories.
Smart Start will automatically add estimate and proposal templates to your account so that your technicians can use the pre-populated templates.
Set up Pricebook Pro Smart Start
Pricebook Pro Smart Start includes the most commonly used items. This way, you can quickly find what you’re most likely to need when using the catalog.
Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook
.In the side menu, click Services.
Click Setup.
In the window that opens, click Let’s Get Started.
In the Setup section, specify all the trades for which you require services today. Options include:
HVAC Residential
HVAC Commercial
Plumbing
Electrical
Roofing
Select the primary state from the dropdown.
When finished, click Continue.
In the Catalog section, click View your tailored list to explore the catalog.
Tips: We recommend you skip this step because if you are missing items, you can add them later.
When finished, click Continue.
In the Billable Rates section, set up your billable rate. For more, see Step 2. Billable Rate of in Dynamic Pricing.
In the Markups section, set markups for materials and equipment. For more, see Step 3. Markup in Dynamic Pricing.
When finished, click Continue.
In the Surcharge section, add a flat or percentage surcharge to a service item. For more, see Step 4. Surcharge (Optional) in Dynamic Pricing.
When finished, click Continue.
Click View Import to see the items added to your Pricebook.

When finished, make sure to:
Go to Pricebook > Services and click the Dynamic Pricing column. In the window that opens, check the pricing you set.
Go to Pricebook > Categories and unhide the categories you want technicians to view and sell in ServiceTitan Mobile. For more information about categories, see Create and manage categories and subcategories in Pricebook.
