Problem
Companies may run into brand registration errors in ServiceTitan (such as "Please fix the following elements and submit again. Brand is unverified. Please check and correct values you input into the brand registration form.") when trying to register their company with TCR enabled texting. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot and resolve the errors.
Solution
Brand registration errors are most often caused by incorrectly entering either the tax number or legal business name. The registration page is precise, so it requires the tax identification number and the company name to match precisely with your company's federal tax records. The contact information fields, such as phone number and email, do not affect verification submission and are essentially so our team can get in touch with you regarding verification if needed.
Specifically for Canada-based companies, the registration page shows a Business Number field, but it's highly recommended that you enter the Corporation Number in that field as it's more likely to be accepted for verification by TCR.
If your company is based in the US, follow the steps in the US-based companies section. If your company is based in Canada, follow the steps in the Canada-based companies section.
US-based companies
Obtain a copy of your company's SS4 or IRS EIN form 147c. What the registration page is specifically looking for is the EIN (Your Employer Identification Number (EIN) field) and official legal company name (Legal Business Name field).
Note: If you do not have a copy of either of the above documents, you can try verifying with a W-9 form, but note that TCR is more likely to accept SS4 and form 147c documents if your company needs to be manually verified for any reason. You can also try the steps listed here to have the IRS provide a copy of your existing EIN.
In ServiceTitan, go to Settings > Your Account > Register for Texting.
With the document from step 1 of this section, verify whether the EIN number matches exactly with the EIN entered in ServiceTitan. If the EIN in ServiceTitan doesn't match exactly, correct it and then re-Submit.

Use the document from step 1 of this section and check if the text entered in the Legal Business Name field matches exactly with the legal business name on the official tax document. This includes matching case, punctuation, and spacing. If the legal business name in ServiceTitan doesn't match exactly, correct it and then re-Submit. If the legal business name already matches, move on to the next step.

If the EIN and a legal business name already look correct in ServiceTitan but you're still seeing the registration error, please email a copy of your company's SS4 or IRS EIN form 147c to ServiceTitan Technical Support for further assistance.
Canada-based companies
Obtain a copy of your company's Certificate of Incorporation or Articles of Incorporation. What the registration page is specifically looking for is the Canadian Corporation Number (Your Business Number (BN) field) and official legal company name (Legal Business Name field).
In ServiceTitan, go to Settings > Your Account > Register for Texting.
With the document from step 1 of this section, verify whether the Certificate's Corporation Number matches exactly with the number entered in ServiceTitan. If the Corporation Number in ServiceTitan doesn't match exactly with the document, correct it and then re-Submit.

Use the document from step 1 of this section and check whether the text entered in the Legal Business Name field on the ServiceTitan registration page matches exactly with the legal business name on the official tax document. This includes matching case, punctuation, and spacing. If the legal business name in ServiceTitan doesn't match exactly, correct it and then re-submit. If the legal business name already matches, move on to the next step.
The Corporation Number and process may differ from province to province.
British Columbia companies need to email ServiceTitan Technical Support for assistance.
Ontario Corporation Numbers may have leading zeros - enter the number without leading zeros if your company is in Ontario.
Alberta companies need to use the Corporate Access Number from their Certificate of Incorporation.
5. If the Corporation Number and legal business name look correct in ServiceTitan but you're still seeing the registration error, please email a copy of your company's Certificate of Incorporation/Articles of Incorporation to ServiceTitan Technical Support for further assistance.
