Overview
Use the Field Pro app to manually record in-person conversations with customers on the job. Recordings are saved to your Film Room when finished, where you and your manager can review them for coaching and performance tracking.
Note: Recordings are triggered automatically when you arrive at a job in the ServiceTitan Mobile App or Field Mobile App. This is the recommended workflow. The View Field Pro permission is required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator on your team.
Things to know
The Field Pro app must be open and in the foreground for the recording to start and remain active. Hard-closing the app during a recording can interrupt or prevent the upload.
Field Pro automatically pauses if you take or receive a phone call. It resumes when the call ends.
If your device shows a Low Storage warning, free up space before recording. Low storage can interrupt an active recording.

Two-party consent states require you to inform the customer before recording begins.
Recordings are stored in the cloud. They do not permanently occupy storage space on your device.
Step 1: Start a recording manually in the Field Pro app
Open the Field Pro app.
Tap the Microphone button.
The first time you start a recording, Field Pro asks for permission to access your location. Tap Allow While Using App.
Note: Location access helps enrich your recording data and improve the recording experience.
Tap the microphone to start recording.

If you need to pause during the job, tap Pause.
Tap Resume when you are ready to continue.
When the conversation is complete, tap Finish.

A confirmation prompt appears:
Tap Save & end recording to confirm.
Tap Never mind to return to the recording.

Once you tap Save & end recording, the recording cannot be resumed. Make sure the conversation is fully complete before confirming.
Step 2: Complete the recording details in the Field Pro app
Note: This screen only appears when you start a recording manually. If you are recording through the ServiceTitan Mobile or Field Mobile App, this screen does not appear and these steps are not needed.
When recording manually in the Field Pro app, after ending the recording, a three-step Complete Recording screen opens.
For Step 1, Select the outcome of the job:
Won: A sale or estimate was closed.
Lost: No sale was made.
Still in Progress: The job is ongoing or the outcome is not yet known.

Tap Next.
For Step 2, Enter a title for the recording so it's easy to find later, then tap Next.

For Step 3, choose whether to share the recording with your team:
Tap Share to post it to the Feed so teammates can view and learn from it. They will receive a notification that new content is available.
Tap Do not share to keep it in your Film Room only.

Tap Next.
After completing the recording details, a summary screen appears showing your weekly recording activity. From here, you can tap any of the following to explore further:
Coaching Spotlight: View AI-generated feedback on your strengths and growth areas.
Film Room: Go directly to your recording library.
Home Feed: Browse recordings your teammates have shared.
Comments: Review recent comments by your manager or team.
Chat: A personal AI coach right in the Field Pro app that technicians can talk to by voice or text. It has full context on your recent recordings, scorecards, and performance, so you can debrief a call, ask about recurring objections, or roleplay scenarios and get specific, actionable feedback in seconds.
Tap Done to return to the home screen.
