Overview

Use the Meal Time report template to review technician meal breaks and hours worked by day. See unpaid break time and whether a break was waived to validate payroll, support compliance tracking, and flag break-related exceptions.

  • Account configuration is required to use this feature. Please contact Technical Support for details.

  • The ability to create custom reports depends on the ServiceTitan package your company is subscribed to. If you don't have the option to create a custom report, it may not be included in your package. Contact Technical Support for details.

Things to know

  • If you're unsure which columns you want to include in your report, use the Reporting Dictionary to search for appropriate data fields.

  • You can use this template to create as many custom reports as you need. Each report created from the template is independent and can be run or scheduled without needing to recreate it from the original template.

  • Meal break reminders are only available with the Field Mobile App. You can see the reminders for technicians using the Field Mobile App.

  • Flexible Timekeeping is required to use meal break reminders.

  • You can configure meal break reminders in SettingsA simple icon representing a settings gear. > Payroll > Meal Break Reminders. For more, see Enable meal break reminders for technicians.

Create a Meal Time report

Follow the steps to create a custom report based on the Meal Time template and select the columns to include in your report. You only need to create the report once. After it's created, you can share it with others who may need to access the information in the report, edit report columns, and more.

Meal time report data fields

This template has the following data field sections:

  • Employee Name: Name of the technician or employee the record applies to.

  • Worked Day: The work date on the daily timesheet record.

  • Total Hours Worked: The total hours calculated for that employee on the worked day, based on the day's time entries.

  • Has Meal Break: Shows whether the daily time record includes an unpaid meal break entry for that day.

  • Is Waived: Shows whether the employee marked the meal break as waived for that worked day.

  • Tenant ID: Unique ID for the tenant account.

  • Tenant Name: Tenant name shown in the account.

  • Tenant Official Name: Tenant's official business name on record.

Filter and run meal time report

Before running the report, set filters to narrow your results:

  1. Click the From - To field to set date filters. You can:

    1. Use the calendar to select a specific date range and then click Apply

    2. Use the left menu to select a preset date range:                

      1. Today: From 12:00 AM to the current time.

      2. Yesterday: Previous day, from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM.

      3. This Week: From Monday through Sunday of the current week.

      4. Week to Date: From Monday through the current date of the current week.

      5. Last 7 Days: Previous seven days, including today.

      6. Last 14 Days: Previous 14 days, including today.

      7. Last 30 Days: Previous 30 days, including today.

      8. Month to Date: From the first of the current month to the current day.

      9. Last Month: Entire month before the current month. For example, if the date is February 5, the entire month of January.

      10. Last 90 Days: Previous 90 days, including today.

      11. This Quarter: Current quarter, including future dates. For example, if the date is April 25, from April 1 - June 30.

      12. Last Quarter: Entire quarter before the current quarter. For example, if the date is April 25, from January 1 - March 31.

      13. Quarter to Date: From the first day of the current quarter to the current day.

      14. Year to Date: From January 1 of the current year to the current day.

      15. Last 365 Days: Previous 365 days, including today.

      16. Last Year: From January 1 of the previous year to December 31.

  2. (Optional) Use the Technicians dropdown to select which technicians you want to include in the report. Otherwise, the report includes all technicians.

  3. (Optional) Use the Employees dropdown to select which employees you want to include in the report. Otherwise, the report includes all employees.

  4. (Optional) Use the Worked Day filterto limit the report to a specific date range. Click the filter icon in the Worked Day column header, select the dates you want to include, and click Filter.

When you're finished setting filters, click Run Report.

Tip: Use filtersin any column header to narrow the report results. Select the values you want to include, or set a date range for date fields, then click Filter. If you do not apply a filter, the report includes all values for that column.

Click Edit Columns to add and remove columns from the report. For further customization, you can also arrange report columns and apply filters to columns.
