Mark a job as No Charge/Non-Opportunity

Prev Next

Problem

When a job is marked as a lead and another job is booked from that same job, the first job is not marked as No Charge/Non-Opportunity by default. This can cause confusion and inaccuracies in revenue reporting.

Solution

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Search.

  2. Search for the job that needs to be marked as No Charge/Non-Opportunity.

  3. Select the job you want to edit.

  4. On the job record, click Edit.

  5. On the Edit Job page that opens, select No Charge/Non-Opportunity.

  6. Click Save to update the job.

Note: If you are selling an estimate from the office side, the original job will be marked as No Charge/Non-Opportunity automatically.

Note: If a tech was working on a job and found an opportunity to upsell, another job can be scheduled from that job. In this case, the first job should not be marked as No Charge/Non-Opportunity because it generated revenue.
