How to Extend Phone Ring Duration for Incoming Calls

You want to know if it is possible to extend the phone ring duration for incoming calls.

Solution

Basic Phones

If you are using basic phones, you cannot extend the phone ring duration for incoming calls as call settings belong to your phone carrier. Contact your phone carrier for assistance.

Phones Pro

1. Login into dialpad.com

2. Go to Settings and locate the department or contact center that you want to update the ring duration on.

3. Click on the department or contact center and click on Business Hours & Call Routing to open the menu.

4. Click Edit Call Routing.

5. On the routing page that opens, scroll down until you see Ring Duration.

6. Use the slider menu to select the amount of rings you want. Once the ring duration is selected, wait until you see changes saved banner appear at the top of the screen and then exit.
