Problem

Incoming calls are being transferred to another department after two rings. This is happening because the duration for incoming calls is set to 10 seconds, which corresponds to two rings.

Solution

Ring duration change

To access your Department's or Ai Contact Center's call routing rules(Ring timer), head to your Admin Settings from www.dialpad.com.

  1. Go to Departments or Ai Contact Center.

  2. Select the desired Department or Ai Contact Center.

  3. Go to Business Hours & Call routing.

  4. Select Edit Call Routing.

  5. Scroll down until you see the Ring DurationUI of the Ring duration section in Dialpad

  6. Set the ring timer to the recommended ring timer which is about 20 to 30 seconds.
