Overview

Administrators and managers can edit timesheets of office employees to fix time clock errors to minimize issues before processing payroll.

Things to know

  • Make sure you have the correct permissions to view and edit office timesheets.

  • You cannot edit timesheets for a pay period that has already been processed for payroll.

Remove employee sign-off from payroll

If an employee has signed off on payroll, you can edit their timesheet after you remove their sign-off.

Note: The payroll Employee Status changes from Approved to Pending. The employee must sign off on the changes before you can approve payroll for processing.

To remove payroll sign-off:

  1. Go to the top toolbar, click your Profile icon and click Payroll.

  2. Use the dropdown to select the pay period you want to view.

  3. Click View Actions in the Action column for the employee whose sign-off approval you want to remove.

  4. The employee’s payroll details screen opens.

  5. Click Update .

The payroll employee status switches from Approved to Pending, which allows you to edit their timesheet.

Edit an office employee timesheet

  1. Go to the top toolbar, click your Profile icon A simple icon representing a settings gear. and click Payroll.

  2. Use the dropdown to select the pay period you want to view.

  3. In the Actions column, click View Actions for the employee whose timesheet you want to edit.

  4. Click Edit Timesheet.

  5. Click Edit for the day in the pay period you want to edit.

  6. Edit an existing timesheet event or click Add to create a new one:

    1. Use the Type dropdown to select a timesheet code for the activity.

    2. Use the Start and End fields to set the start and end times of the timesheet event.

    3. Click Deleteto remove a timesheet event.

  7. You can continue to make additional edits. Or, if you’re finished, click Save.
