How to Create a Return for Serialized Equipment in ServiceTitan

Problem

You are unable to create a return for a serialized equipment in ServiceTitan due to not being able to use the same serial number.

Solution

  1. On the navigation bar, click Inventory > Adjustments.

  2. Create an inventory adjustment to increase the inventory for the item.        

    1. If the system does not allow you to use the same serial number, enter the serial number and add a hyphen to the end.

  3. Create the return under the warranty with the correct serial number.

Note: If you encounter any issues while creating the return, make sure to check that the purchase order is not exported.
