Problem

You need a report that shows all technician activities, not just paid time.

Solution

Create a custom report

You can create a custom report based on the Timesheets template that includes details about timesheet activities.  

  1. Go to Reports in the main navigation menu.

  2. Click Create Report.

  3. On the New Report screen that opens, select a report type. If you're unsure which to select, click All.

  4. Under Select a report template, choose the Timeshets report template.

  5. Under Columns to be displayed in the report, select the following columns:

    1. Name

    2. Business Unit

    3. Timesheet Activity Date

    4. Job ID

    5. Location Name

    6. Timesheet Category

    7. Timesheet Activity

    8. Start Time

    9. End Time

    10. Duration (Decimal)

    11. Duration (hh:mm)

    12. Timesheet Business Unit

    13. Timesheet Memo

  6. If you need more information about the timesheet activity, you can add additional columns at this step.

  7. When you're finished, click Next.

  8. On the Set Details screen, enter a Name, Category and optional Description.

  9. When you're finished, click Save.

Run the report

  1. Use the following filters to narrow down your report results:

    1. Use the From - To filter to select a time frame for your report. You can:

      • Use the calendar to select a specific date range and then click Apply.

      • Use the left menu to select a preset date range:

        • Today: From 12:00 AM to the current time.

        • Yesterday: Previous day, from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM.

        • This Week: From Monday through Sunday of the current week.

        • Week to Date: From Monday through the current date of the current week.

        • Last 7 Days: Previous seven days, including today.

        • Last 14 Days: Previous 14 days, including today.

        • Last 30 Days: Previous 30 days, including today.

        • Month to Date: From the first of the current month to the current day.

        • Last Month: Entire month before the current month. For example, if the date is February 5, the entire month of January.

        • Last 90 Days: Previous 90 days, including today.

        • This Quarter: Current quarter, including future dates. For example, if the date is April 25, from April 1 - June 30.

        • Last Quarter: Entire quarter before the current quarter. For example, if the date is April 25, from January 1 - March 31.

        • Quarter to Date: From the first day of the current quarter to the current day.

        • Year to Date: From January 1 of the current year to the current day.

        • Last 365 Days: Previous 365 days, including today.

        • Last Year: From January 1 of the previous year to December 31.

    2. Use the Business Unit filter to select a business unit for your report.

      • Click the dropdown to select individual BUs.

      • To report on BU categories such as trade or division, click Filter , select the BU categories you want to include, and click Filter.

        Note: How BU filters are applied depends on the key performance indicator (KPI). Hover over a column header for details.

    3. Use the Employees filter to select one or more employee to see the results of.

  2. When you're finished setting filters, click Run Report.
