Things to know

  • Technicians are automatically clocked in based on:

    • If first drive time is paid, dispatch to first appointment of the day.

    • Arrival at first appointment of the day.

    • First paid non-job timesheet event of the day.

  • Technicians are automatically clocked out based on whichever occurs last during a workday:

    • Completion of the last appointment of the day.

    • Completion of a paid non-job event.

  • When you clock in a technician, all idle time before their first paid timesheet event is unpaid, regardless of your idle time settings. The exception is if you enable Simple Clock I/O when all idle time is paid.

  • You can't clock out a technician while they're working a job.

Action canceled messages

The clock-in time must be before the technician's first job or non-job event of the day, and the clock-out time must be after the technician's last job or non-job event of the day. If you enter a time outside of that range, an alert appears and the action is canceled.
