Technicians often forget to enter meal breaks. Adding meal breaks later creates overlap errors with existing work time. Break up timesheet entries with flexible timekeeping to Split timesheet entries efficiently.
Solution
Break up timesheet entries
On theTimesheets screen, locate the timesheet entry you want to break up.
On the timesheet entry, click Break Up Entry.
Create separate entries for work time before the meal, the meal break, and work time after the meal.
The breakup entry prevents overlap errors by automatically splitting existing time entries instead of creating conflicting overlapping entries.
Split determines how much credit each technician is getting for the job. For example: If two technicians perform work on a job, the split could be an even 50%-50%, or it could be 75%-25% if the first technician did a bulk of the work.
By default 100% of the technician split will go to the first technician assigned to the job.
