The Payroll Dashboard gives managers a clear view of employee hours, pay amounts, and approval status — all in one place for efficient payroll processing.

Setup

Payroll Management works with both Legacy Timekeeping and Flexible Timekeeping. To get started, edit your payroll legal terms and enable payroll for your employees — individually or in bulk.

Setup checklist

Edit your payroll legal terms

Set the terms all employees review and sign off on before payroll is processed.

Bulk enable Include in Payroll

Go to Settings → People → Payroll → Employee Payroll Settings. Select all employees, click View Bulk Actions, and choose Include in Payroll.

Enable payroll for individual employees and technicians

Go to Settings → People → Employees or Technicians, open an employee's edit screen, click the Payroll tab, and toggle on Include in Payroll.

Manage payroll permissions

All payroll permissions are enabled by default. Optionally enable Allow to edit timesheets for technicians, Enable payroll approval module in mobile, or Employee can edit their own timesheet entries for office staff.

Payroll Management works with both Legacy Timekeeping and Flexible Timekeeping.

What is the process for adding spiffs to services in ServiceTitan?

The process depends on which payroll version you have enabled. For Configurable Payroll, use custom payroll fields to set spiff amounts — see Set up and manage custom payroll fields. For default payroll, spiffs are added as bonus pay on individual pricebook items or technician profiles.

Can a flat $ spiff be set for different items?

Yes. Setting different flat dollar spiffs per item requires Configurable Payroll. Separate payroll profiles are needed for each different spiff amount to be applied simultaneously across items.
