Line Item POs and Truck Replenishment

Create and manage purchase orders, track inventory, and coordinate vendor shipments — using the original PO feature in ServiceTitan.

Setup

Line Item POs and Truck Replenishment is the legacy version of the Purchasing feature in ServiceTitan. It lets you create POs, manage inventory levels, coordinate vendor shipments to job sites or technician addresses, and configure truck replenishment workflows.

Caution

Articles in this section introduce the older version of the Purchase Order (PO) feature. We encourage you to use the new Purchasing feature, which introduces improvements not available in this version. You may continue using this version, note the following:

  • Improvements will only be introduced to the new version of the Purchasing feature
  • The older version will be discontinued sometime in the future

Setup checklist

Enable inventory tracking

Turn on inventory tracking in your account settings so ServiceTitan can monitor stock levels and generate POs.

Build your vendor list

Add vendors to inventory items and designate a primary vendor for each item so POs route correctly.

Create your first purchase order

Create, edit, or delete line item purchase orders to order parts and materials for jobs.

Connect QuickBooks (if applicable)

Sync inventory data with QuickBooks if your business uses the QuickBooks integration.

Set up truck replenishment (optional)

Configure automatic restocking of truck inventory so technicians always have the parts they need.

Required access

Available to all ServiceTitan customers. Inventory tracking must be enabled in account settings.

Once setup is complete

Create and track purchase orders, manage truck inventory, and send PO notifications to technicians and your purchasing team.

Common questions about legacy Purchase Orders.

Should I use this version or the new Purchasing module?

We strongly recommend moving to the new Purchasing module. All future improvements will go there, and the legacy version will eventually be discontinued. You can continue using the legacy feature in the meantime — contact your Onboarding Specialist to plan your transition.

Can technicians create purchase orders from the mobile app?

Yes. Technicians can create purchase orders directly from ServiceTitan Mobile. See Create purchase orders in ServiceTitan Mobile for step-by-step instructions.

Can vendors ship directly to a technician's address?

Yes. You can configure POs so vendors ship directly to a technician's address. This works via both Line Items on POs and Truck Replenishment. See the Purchase order vendors section above for the full list of relevant articles.
