Why can’t I see the job notifications option for contacts?

Problem

The Job Notifications option is needed for reputation survey texts. If no customer notifications are active in your Settings, this option will not show. This prevents you from sending reputation survey texts to customers.

Solution

To make the Job Notifications option visible in contact methods, at least one Customer Notification type must be enabled in Settings. You can prevent customer notifications from being sent by excluding all job types and business units. This keeps the feature active without triggering actual messages.

Enable the Job Notifications option

  1. In the top toolbar, click Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. .

  2. In the side panel, go to Communications > Customer Notifications.

  3. Click any notification type.

  4. Click the Off toggle to turn it on. 

  5. Click Save.

  6. Click the Settings tab.

  7. Under the Exclusion Settings section:        

    1. Select all business units in the Exclude Business Unit dropdown then click Apply.

    2. Select all job types in the Exclude Job Type dropdown then click Apply.

  8. Click Save

After these steps are complete, the Job Notifications option will appear in the Contact Methods section of the customer's profile. You can now enable this option for any contacts who should receive reputation survey texts.
