Fall 2025 Updates
Why is my Titan score changing?
We’ve updated the TitanAdvisor scoring system to better reflect the features and actions that truly drive business results, based on data from our Data Science team. Most customers will see their scores rise.
Did you remove any checkpoints?
Yes, we retired a small number of low-impact or duplicate checkpoints and moved some setup-only tasks into onboarding, so your progress feels more accurate.
Do I need to relearn TitanAdvisor?
Not at all! The TitanAdvisor layout and experience haven’t changed. You’ll just notice your progress feels smoother and more aligned with the work you already do.
Will my score go down?
A small number of customers may see minor changes, but those reflect stricter thresholds or the reclassification of setup tasks. The goal is to make the score more meaningful, not punitive.
How often will these updates happen?
We’ll refresh TitanAdvisor periodically to keep it current with the latest customer insights and business data. It’s part of our ongoing effort to make TitanAdvisor your most trusted guide to success.
General
How can TitanAdvisor help my business?
Our research shows that the more our customers use ServiceTitan’s diverse suite of features, the better their business outcomes are. TitanAdvisor guides you step-by-step through setting up and using features that we think can help you grow your business, streamline workflows, and improve customer satisfaction.
When you complete a TitanAdvisor feature’s checkpoints, you can see how using the feature helps achieve your business goals.
What’s the maximum TitanScore?
There’s no universal maximum TitanScore. TitanAdvisor only recommends features that are best practices for your business, and only those features are included in your maximum TitanScore. Recommendations are based on your ServiceTitan package, number of managed technicians, your trades, whether your customers are residential or commercial, and other account configurations. For example, what is a best practice for the plumbing trade might not apply for the electrical trade. Features that focus on enterprise workflows will not be recommended to a 10-truck operation.
As new TitanAdvisor features are introduced, your maximum potential TitanScore increases, giving you more opportunities to build up your score. You can view your total possible TitanScore points by hovering over the Mastery stage of the TitanAdvisor progress bar on the Overview screen.

How does TitanAdvisor recommend features?
TitanAdvisor looks at your account setup and the features you use. Then, based on your trades, organization size, ServiceTitan package, and prioritized business goals, TitanAdvisor recommends features that can make the biggest positive impact on your business. Your business goals, which you can edit, are listed on the TitanAdvisor Overview screen.
How do I access the TitanAdvisor Admin view?
By default, employees have access to their assigned TitanAdvisor courses. If you are an administrator and require access to the TitanAdvisor admin view, make sure you have the following permissions enabled:
TitanAdvisor Admin: Allows employee access to the TitanAdvisor Admin view
TitanAdvisor - Update Goals: Allows employee to edit business goals
Why did my TitanScore go down?
Many usage checkpoints are time-dependent. For example, if you earn a TitanScore point based on running a report at least once in the past 60 days, you lose that point if you do not run that report for a 60-day period.

You can view all changes to your TitanScore in your Score History.
How do I advance to the next TitanAdvisor stage?
Your progress in TitanAdvisor is tracked in stages. You advance to the next stage by both:
Earning enough TitanScore points from features assigned to that stage
Completing features tagged as Required for that stage
You can see how many points are required to complete a stage and which required features you need to set up or use more on the right side of the TitanAdvisor Overview screen.

TitanAdvisor is recommending a ServiceTitan Pro Product that I don’t subscribe to. Does that hurt my ability to advance to the next stage?
Absolutely not. TitanAdvisor recommends features determined to be most beneficial to your business goals and workflows. Some features are part of ServiceTitan pro products: Pricebook Pro, Marketing Pro, and Phones Pro. These features are listed in TitanAdvisor with a purple pro icon.

If you don’t subscribe to the Pro Product, the feature is greyed out and does not affect the minimum points requirement to advance to the next stage. Click the feature to learn more about it.

I earned all of the points for a feature. Why is there a red dot next to it?
If one or more checkpoints for a TitanAdvisor feature has a Poor status, the entire feature has a Poor status.

Click a feature to review its checkpoints. Some checkpoints are required to complete a feature but do not award TitanScore points. If the feature is tagged as Required, make sure all the checkpoints have a status of OK or Great to count towards your progress for that feature’s TitanAdvisor stage.

I earned enough TitanScore points to reach the next stage. Why haven’t I advanced?
In addition to earning the minimum number of points to clear a stage, you must also complete the checkpoints for the required features for that stage before you can advance.
To see which features you need to set up or use more, go to the TitanAdvisor Overview screen. On the right side, in the Required Features Remaining section, click Expand
.

Also, only the TitanScore points for features assigned to your current stage apply to your advancement. For example, if you’re at the Acceleration stage and you earn 10 points for completing features assigned to the Launch stage, those points increase your TitanScore but do not apply to your advancement to the Optimization stage.
I completed all the required features to reach the next stage. Why haven’t I advanced?
In addition to completing all the required features for a stage, you must also earn a minimum number of points from features assigned to that stage before you can advance.
Keep in mind that only the TitanScore points for features assigned to your current stage apply to your advancement. For example, if you’re at the Acceleration stage and you earn 10 points for completing features assigned to the Launch stage, those points increase your TitanScore but do not apply to your advancement to the Optimization stage.
How is my TitanAdvisor stage affected when new features are added to TitanAdvisor?
When new features are added to a stage that you’ve already completed, the points you need to earn to advance to the next stage are not impacted. The points threshold can increase when a new feature is added to your current stage.
For example, if you’re at the Acceleration stage, a feature added to the Launch stage doesn’t affect your advancement. But a new Acceleration stage feature can increase the number of points needed to reach the Optimization stage.
TitanAdvisor is recommending features that my business will never use. Will I be penalized if I don’t complete them?
There’s no penalty for not completing a TitanAdvisor feature. You can even hide a feature from view by hovering over it and clicking the Hide icon. You can unhide it later if you change your mind.

Note: Hiding a feature does not change the minimum point requirement to advance to the next stage. Features tagged as Required cannot be hidden.
Why aren’t my TitanScore points showing for the checkpoint I just completed?
TitanAdvisor updates once daily. If you completed a checkpoint, any earned points are added to your TitanScore at the next update. You can see when your account was last updated on the right side of the TitanAdvisor Overview screen.

Where do I get my personalized report?
Download your Benchmark Report by going to TitanAdvisor and clicking on the link just below your TitanScore.

Benchmark reports can also be accessed in the Benchmark Report library located in Reports. See Access Benchmark Reports for more.
Why don’t I see the View your Benchmark option?
You must have a report available to see the report. You may not see a link to a Benchmark Report if you are currently onboarding or went live recently. You may not have sufficient ServiceTitan data for a benchmark report to be generated. You must have completed at least 100 jobs over the time period in review. We currently do not have Benchmark Reports for customers in Alaska and Puerto Rico.
If you opted out of Industry Publications on the Data Preferences screen, you will also not receive a report or any link in TitanAdvisor. To opt in to Industry Publications, go to Settings
> Titan Intelligence > Data Preferences. Click Industry Publications and then click Save.

What is benchmarking?
Benchmarking is the universal practice of measuring your key business metrics and comparing them against businesses like yours. The outputs are typically comparisons of average or percentile values against comparison groups on select metrics.
Why is benchmarking important?
Comparing your business to a similar business lets you understand how you’re doing, identify performance gaps and opportunities to improve, and highlight peer achievements that you could emulate or your own achievements to be celebrated.
How did you determine what businesses are like mine?
Our data scientists performed advanced analytics to determine and create groups that reflect similarity among descriptive factors. These factors included items such as business complexity, service mix, trade mix, business size, and climate zone.
How was the Average Ticket calculated?
Average Ticket = Total Job Average (average ticket across all completed jobs, including recalls, warranties, and no-charge jobs).
Note: This is the average for all jobs even if they didn’t generate any revenue.
What is included in Completed Revenue?
Completed Revenue = revenue from completed jobs.
How was Install and Service determined?
Our data scientists performed advanced analytics to categorize jobs as either Install or Service. Those jobs that have a high likelihood of being Install and had a ticket value of $100 or more, were classified as Install. Similarly, those jobs that had a high likelihood of being Service and a ticket value of $50 or more were classified as Service. Some jobs could not be classified with a high probability of accuracy and remained unclassified for comparison.
Note: This definition was updated over prior versions to include a minimum threshold value. Previous versions had a threshold value of 0 for both install and service jobs.
How is the Number of Techs determined?
The Number of Techs refers to the number of unique technicians that were assigned at least one job during the analysis period. For the Fall Benchmark Report, the analysis period refers to the months of July 2024, August 2024, and September 2024.
How was Primary Industry determined?
Primary Industry was determined by the type of industry that the majority of your revenue was classified into. Our data scientists performed advanced analytics to categorize your revenue during the analysis period and assign them an industry type. For the Fall Benchmark Report, the analysis period refers to the months of July 2024, August 2024, and September 2024.
Can anyone see my data?
No. Your data has been anonymized and aggregated.
How did you determine the regions?
Regions were determined by climate as defined by the governmental entity, NOAA. Climate regions are geographically located next to each other.
Page 2 of my report has INC in some places. What does that mean?
INC is an abbreviation for incomplete. It means that we had insufficient data to be able to provide this metric with good confidence.
The Like You section on Page 2 of my Benchmark Report has a range for values for Average Ticket. What does that range represent?
The range provided on Page 2 of your report represents the “good range” of values for the metric. It reflects the 20th-80th percentile of businesses like yours.
For the Install-to-Service Revenue Ratio, what does the Like You metric represent?
The Install-to-Service Revenue Ratio is an estimate of the install and service revenue split generated by your business. It is presented as % Install Revenue: % Service Revenue. The Like You metric reflects the 50th percentile of businesses like yours.
What states are in my region?
