About the Ideas platform

The Ideas platform is where customers can share ideas with the ServiceTitan Community and ServiceTitan Product teams. At dedicated times throughout the year, the highest voted ideas go through further review to determine if they can be delivered to customers. For example, each quarter the Product team will review ideas that have reached a status of Future Consideration. If it is determined the idea will move forward in the development cycle, the Product team will change the status to Under Consideration. Detailed definitions of each status can be found at the bottom of this page. Below is an overview process of how ServiceTitan brings ideas to life via the Ideas platform.

In the Release Notes you can distinguish the delivered ideas by the cowboy hat and the note “You asked, we listened!”.

To get to the Ideas platform, click Ideas in the top navigation bar of the Knowledge Base.

Request a new feature or feature update

You can request a new feature or an update to an existing feature by posting an idea. It's best to first search to see if someone else has a similar idea and upvote it. Even if the existing idea isn't exactly the same, you can upvote it and add a comment to clarify how you were thinking about a similar idea. The more votes on an idea, the more likely it is to be considered!

If you were unable to find an existing idea, you can add a new one.

  1. In the Ideas platform, click Add a New Idea.

  2. Fill out the required fields. Include a clear title, fill in more details around the problem, its severity (i.e. unintuitive workflow, lots of clicks, lots of steps, demanding a dedicated full-time resource etc.), suggested solution and workarounds, if any. Also select a category. You can even include images and media, if needed.
  3. When you're finished, click Add Idea.

Note: Idea submissions do not work in Incognito mode. Make sure you're logged into your ServiceTitan account.
