Add media to a job with mobile phone capture in ServiceTitan Mobile

Overview

ServiceTitan Mobile works best with a tablet, but carrying and using a tablet to take photos for a job isn't always practical. Instead, you can use Phone Capture in ServiceTitan Mobile to send a link to your mobile device, letting you capture new photos or upload existing ones.

Things to know

  • Technicians must have a mobile phone number in their profile to use Phone Capture. The link to Phone Capture link is sent to the phone number on file in the technician's profile.

  • Photos added with Phone Capture are added to the job, and can also be found in the job's audit trail.

Use Phone Capture to add photos and videos to a job

  1. Find the job you want to use Phone Capture on.

    Tip: You can add photos or videos to jobs that are complete or on hold. To do this, use the History tab in ServiceTitan Mobile to find the job. This functionality is enabled by default for all technicians. You can disable it by deselecting the Allow uploading attachments after the job is completed or put on hold permission.

  2. From the Job Details page in ServiceTitan Mobile, tap the Camera > Phone CaptureMenu options for capturing photos and videos in a mobile application interface.

  3. On your mobile device, tap the link that is sent to you as a text message. Phone Capture opens on your mobile device.

  5. You can take new photos, or select photos that you already took.

  • To take a new photo, tap Camera and then take a photo.

  • To add an existing photo, tap Files and select the image you want to add to the job.

    Tip: Tap Expand to see a preview of an image.

View photos and videos taken on a job

  1. Find the job that has the photos or video you want to view.

  2. From the Job Details page, tap History.
