What are Locked Fields and why are they important?

  • Locked Fields give users control over which aspects of a pricebook tenants can edit. This feature is essential for maintaining consistency in certain areas while allowing flexibility in others, depending on the specific needs and policies of the organization.

  • Locked Fields benefits:

    • Consistency and Compliance: Ensuring that critical information remains consistent across all tenant pricebooks. It's important for regulatory compliance and standard operating procedures.

    • Control and Oversight: Providing administrators the ability to maintain oversight over what can be changed at the tenant level, thus preventing unauthorized or unintended modifications.

    • Flexibility and Customization: Allowing tenants to modify some fields to tailor their pricebook to local market conditions or specific business needs while keeping other fields standardized across the organization.
