Enable text and email arrival notifications

Overview

Set up arrival notifications to alert customers when a technician arrives on-site. When a technician taps Arrive in the ServiceTitan mobile app, the notification is sent automatically. This feature allows you to send email or text alerts at the moment of arrival.


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators

Enable text message notifications

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings .

  2. In the side panel, go to Communications > Customer Notifications.

  3. On the Customer Notifications screen that opens, click Arrival Notifications.Image showing the Arrival Notifications section.

  4. The Text tab of the Arrival Notifications screen opens. Make sure your outbound default SMS number is set up:      

    1. If your default SMS number is properly set up, you see a green checkmark icon.

    2. If your default SMS number is not set up, you see a red warning icon.                

      Note: Before you can enable text notifications, a default SMS number must be set up. Click Edit phone number and follow the steps to set up your default SMS number.

  5. Customize the notification message if necessary.Image displaying the Customize button.

  6. When finished, turn on the Enable arrival text notifications toggle and then click Save.

Enable email notifications

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings .

  2. In the side panel, go to Communications > Customer Notifications.

  3. On the Customer Notifications screen that opens, click Arrival Notifications.

  4. On the Arrival Notifications screen that opens, click the Email tab.

  5. A default message is set up for you. You can customize the notification message.Image displaying the Message Content screen.        

    Tip: Check the preview next to the message content to see what your message looks like to your customers.

  6. When finished, turn on the Enable arrival email notifications toggle and then click Save.

Set up arrival notifications settings

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings .

  2. In the side panel, go to Communications > Customer Notifications.

  3. On the Customer Notifications screen that opens, click Arrival Notifications.

  4. On the Arrival Notifications screen that opens, click the Settings tab.

    Note: The setting you configure applies to both SMS and Email reminders.

  5. Select how arrival notifications are sent:

    1. Limit arrival notifications when multiple techs arrive: Sends one notification when multiple technicians arrive together.

    2. Send arrival notification for every tech arrival: Sends a notification each time a technician arrives.

  6. From the Exclude Business Unit dropdown field, select business units you want to exclude from notifications.

  7. From the Exclude Job Type dropdown, select job types you want to exclude from notifications.

  8. When finished, click Save.
